The law firm of Mullins & McMillan, P.A. was formed in July 2004 by partners Jeffrey A. Mullins and Joseph C. McMillan. The firm was founded to provide legal assistance and defense to Employers, Insurers, Self-Insurers and Third Party Administrators in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and General Liability. The Firm expanded its practice in 2008 with the addition of a commercial and creditor’s rights practice for small business and financial institution clients enabling us to provide more services to existing and new clients.

Mullins & McMillan, P.A. is located in Overland Park, Kansas, providing excellent access to the Courts in both Missouri and Kansas. This is important for our clients because the firm offers representation to many of our clients throughout the entire States of Kansas and Missouri in Workers’ Compensation, State, Appellant and Bankruptcy Courts. We handle claims venued in throughout both States, handling cases from as far west as Liberal, Kansas and as far south and east as Kennett, Missouri. By covering these areas our attorneys have gained an invaluable knowledge of the Judges in both States and have a wide range of experience to guide them in the handling of their cases.

The one and only founding principle of Mullins & McMillan, P.A. is excellent service to our clients. This means responding to the clients within one day of when they call in almost every instance and within 2 days on the rare occasion. It also means going the extra mile to accommodate each individual client request as to their necessary policies and procedures. We do not tell the clients how we will handle their files, rather we listen and ask how we can best serve the needs of the clients. Mullins & McMillan, P.A. believes in, and strives to achieve, personalized service to each of our clients utilizing the latest technology to provide cost efficient representation for our clients.

In addition to the two partners, Mullins & McMillan, P.A. has four very capable associates and a very knowledgeable and experienced support staff. All of the attorneys at Mullins & McMillan including the partners and associates, Juliann Graves, Matthew Hogan, John Pazell, and Christopher Werner are licensed in Kansas and Missouri and can, therefore, accurately respond to questions from our clients regarding either State. In addition, Jeffrey Mullins is also licensed in Illinois. Our support staff consists of three paralegals who combined have over 70 years of legal experience which provides an invaluable expertise in handling administrative duties and the various court personnel and dockets.

With the addition of Senior Attorney, Juliann W. Graves in 2008 we have been representing small businesses and financial institutions in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, collection and creditor’s rights. Ms. Graves and her staff have over 40 years of combined experience in representing creditors in State Court and Bankruptcy resulting in thousands of dollars of recoveries for our clients. Ms. Graves provides value added services for our clients by providing in house seminars and training for her clients and is always available for free consultation for existing clients. The Firm also offers a variety of fee structures to meet the client’s needs including contingent fee and flat fee arrangements. Ms. Graves understands the impact of bad debt for our clients and works with them to achieve a cost effective result.
