Joe Ebbert is of counsel with Mullins and McMillan in Overland Park, Kansas. Joe’s practice is focused primarily on defense of Workers' Compensation claims in both Kansas and Missouri. Joe has appeared at all levels of Workers’ Compensation matters from the administrative level to practice before the Kansas Board of Appeals, Missouri’s Labor Commission and the appellate courts of Kansas and Missouri. Joe is also a frequent speaker and participant at continuing legal education seminars on Workers’ Compensation issues. He has recently served as Chair of the Missouri Bar Workers' Compensation Law Committee from 2013 until 2016 and is a member of the MoBar’s Worker’s Compensation CLE sub-committee. He has also participated as Moderator and Speaker for the MoBar Workers’ Compensation Institute in Kansas City since 2009 and as a guest lecturer for the Graduate Program at the University of Kansas School of Nursing on employment law and contract negotiations. Prior to focusing on workers compensation matters Joe had extensive jury trial experience, having been lead counsel in more than 30 jury trials.
