Joseph C. McMillan is a Partner with the Law Firm of Mullins & McMillan, P.A. in Overland Park, Kansas. His primary are of practice is defending Employers, Insurers, Self-Insurers and Third Party Administrators in Workers’ Compensation matters in the States of Missouri and Kansas.

Mr. McMillan obtained his undergraduate degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Columbia College, Columbia, MO in 1986 in Criminal Justice Administration with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology. After working four years as a Police Officer in Columbia, MO and Olathe, KS, he then attended and graduated with a J.D. from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1992. Prior to becoming a Partner in the Firm of Mullins & McMillan, Mr. McMillan was In-House Counsel for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and Managing Attorney for Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Company, Overland Park, KS In-House Counsel Office. He has spoken and moderated various seminars on Workers’ Compensation in both Missouri and Kansas as well as provided training to Insurers and Third Party Administrators.

In 2011 Mr. McMillan was recognized for excellence in adherence to the highest professional standards and integrity and was selected as a Member of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
